A WOMAN believed to be in her 80s has died after being hit by a delivery van in Birmingham, police have said.
The pedestrian was fatally injured in a crash on Lordswood Road in Harborne at 11.40am yesterday Monday (January 15).
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, she sadly died at the scene.
Police said the delivery driver stopped and was helping them with their enquiries.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "An elderly woman has sadly died after being hit by a delivery van.
"The delivery driver stopped at the scene and is helping us with our enquiries.

A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said: "Our crews used salvage sheets to offer privacy and made the scene safe after a woman, believed to be in her eighties, was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene following a collision.
"Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this incident."
