TWO countryside plots of land on the edge of Stourbridge and Hagley have been sold at auction for more than £150k each.
Two green belt plots were sold at the latest property auction held by Bond Wolfe Auctions on October 26.
A 9.9-acre parcel of land off Pedmore Lane had a guide price of £89,000+ and sold for £174,000.
Another plot, off Pedmore Hall Lane, extending to 1.04 acres, was offered for sale with a guide price of £10,000+ and sold for £154,000 on October 26.
The sales followed the earlier sale of a 7.4-acre parcel of land on the corner Pedmore Hall Lane and Hagley Road which had a guide price of £69,000+ and sold for £242,000 on September 14.
Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe, described the plots as being “suitable for a variety of uses, subject to obtaining the necessary planning consents” and “highly attractive to developers and investors seeking sites with potential”.
The land, however, does not appear to have been listed as suitable for future development in the draft Dudley Local Plan, which has recently gone out to consultation.
The plots were put up for sale by Bond Wolfe Securities.
A further freehold parcel of land off Pedmore Lane, extending to approximately 17.6 acres (7.12 hectares), is now also being offered for sale at BWA’s next auction on Thursday December 14.
It has a guide price of £99,000+ and sales particulars say it “may be suitable for a variety of uses, subject to obtaining the necessary planning consents”.
A note on the BWA website states: “A member of Bond Wolfe has a vested interest in the land.”
The forthcoming auction will start at 9am and will be livestreamed online.
Anyone wishing to bid must pre-register via the firm’s website no later than 3pm the day before the auction.
